Mahovine i lišajevi nisu neposredne štetočine na voćkama, ali indirektno su štetni jer se na i ispod njih skrivaju pruzrokovači bolesti i štetni insekti.
Pojavljuju se uglavnom na zapuštenim voćkama, zbog čega zadržavaju vlagu i pospešuju širenje gljivica, a u njima nalaze sklonište i mnoge štetočine voćaka. Kako uklanjati mahovinu i lišajeve?
Mahovine i lišajeve treba sastrugati sa stabla i grana, a to mesto premazati jednim od sredstava: – krečnim mlekom (ne deluje na gljivice i štetočine), – 3%-tnom bordovskom čorbom (deluje na gljivice)– 20%-tnom kalifornijskom čorbom (deluje na štetočine i gljivice), – 1%-tnim zelenim kamenom ( sulfat gvožđa), ne deluje na gljivice i štetočine.
